Charles L. Kidder
Charles’ legal career began with Big Lots, Inc. (NYSE: BIG) where he was recruited and initially hired as real estate counsel for the company. His concentration while at Big Lots involved procurement of new retail locations and performing all necessary legal work related to the expansion of the company’s retail stores. Later in his career, he served in the capacity of Vice President and General Counsel with another Central Ohio furniture retailer before returning to Big Lots in 1994 to co-found the company’s furniture division. In 2003, Charles entered private legal practice focusing on the support of small businesses, retail specific enterprises, real estate, title insurance, and energy related activities in Eastern Ohio, which include oil and gas leasing work, pipeline and utility easements and ancillary work related to the energy industry. Charles resides in Harrison County, Ohio and spends time between both the Cadiz, Ohio and Dublin, Ohio offices. He is actively involved with the Autism Community and specifically with Special Olympics events where his son Cole is a partcipant.

Matthew Fisher
Matt has over 20 years of legal experience representing individuals and businesses in a wide variety of legal matters. He has a deep expertise in the areas of insolvency law and commercial bankruptcies, as well as state court receiverships. Matt was formerly a partner for over a decade in one of the preeminent boutique insolvency firms in Ohio, representing numerous individuals and companies in a wide range of complex workout, insolvency, bankruptcy, and receivership cases across multiple industries. Additionally, Matt has extensive experience in representing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex litigation matters.
In addition to his extensive private practice experience, Matt recently served as both Chief Executive Officer and Chief Legal Officer for a multi-city health care provider which he helped develop. This affording him the opportunity to further hone his legal and business skills through managing an entrepreneurial venture from the ground up. While under Matt’s management, the health care company expanding its operations (and revenue) roughly ten-fold, all while maintaining strict adherence to compliance practices and fundamental financial management principles.
With each new engagement, Matt gains a deep understanding of his client’s combined business and legal challenges.
